Borrowed Authority

BETA

Ranking a post on a strong platform can send readers to your offer or service page long before your own site ranks. Find the platforms that already win your searches, write one genuinely useful post there in your voice, and see when it ranks or gets cited.

Before you start

  • Your Aha Studio accountSign in with your Aha Studio account. Borrowed Authority is part of your plan. Without a plan you can try the free demo.
  • The searchesUp to 5 a run (3 in your first 14 days), one per line. Or press Suggest searches, or pick them from a Keyword Research run.
  • Your target pageThe page the post should send readers to: your offer, your service or your pricing page.
  • Your own experienceA few notes of what you have actually done, seen or measured. The post uses only these for anything first-hand, and marks [ADD] where your experience is needed.
  • An account on the platformYou publish the post yourself, on your own account. The worker never posts for you.
PART 01

Find the platforms and write the post

0 of 10 done
  1. Open Borrowed AuthorityAt borrowedauthority.ahastudio.net, or press Start something new on your account page and choose Platform post.
  2. Add your searchesType what people search, one per line. Suggest searches gives Google Suggest ideas for a topic and the buyer searches for a brand (review, pricing, alternatives, vs), each labelled with its buyer intent. From Keyword Research lists your finished runs and their keywords, the most open first.
  3. Add your target pagePaste the page the post should send readers to and say how you are connected to it: your own site, an affiliate link or a client. That decides the disclosure line.
  4. Pick the AI enginesTick the engines to ask for citations: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Mode. Google's AI Overview always comes with Google's results. The card shows what the run uses of your monthly included amount.
  5. Press Find the platformsEach search is looked up: Google's top 20 and its AI Overview, and the sources each engine cites. Only platforms with a real URL in those results are listed: Reddit, Quora, Medium, LinkedIn, YouTube, Substack, DEV, forums and more.
  6. Check the pickFor each search the worker picks one platform and says why: how strong it is there (its Google position, AI citations), whether its format fits the search, and what kind of post wins there. The posts that rank are listed as the bar to beat. You can switch to another platform that ranks.
  7. Add your notes and writeUnder Your experience, write what you have really done or seen. Press Write the post. You get one post per search per run, in the platform's format and your persona, with [ADD] wherever your own experience or a real number is needed, a disclosure line, and one natural link to your page where the platform allows it.
  8. Read the platform rulesEach post shows that platform's link and self-promotion rules, and says plainly when a rule could not be verified. Open the rules page before you post.
  9. Join the threadsThreads to join lists real Reddit, Quora, Stack Exchange and forum threads that rank or are cited for your searches. Press Draft a reply for a helpful answer you can post yourself.
  10. Post it, then track itEdit the post, fill every [ADD], publish it on your own account, then paste the live address under Track your post. It is checked every 7 or 30 days: where it ranks on Google, and whether the AI Overview or the AI engines cite it. You get an email when that changes.
PART 02

Google's rules, in short

Site reputation abuseGoogle treats third-party content published on a host site mainly to use that site's ranking signals as spam, and says the host's involvement is no defence. Its examples are sponsored reviews placed on unrelated sites. Posting your own useful post on Reddit, Medium, LinkedIn, Quora or YouTube is user content, which the policy names as not abuse. Source: Google Search Central, 2026-08-28.
Scaled content abuseGenerating many pages with AI without adding value is spam in Google's own words, and so are attempts to manipulate AI answers in Google Search. So this worker writes one post per search per run, from your own experience, for you to edit and post. Source: Google Search Central, 2026-08-28.
The EEA changeFrom 2026-08-30, inside the EEA a site reputation manual action no longer applies to searchers; the section may instead be ranked on its own merits. Outside the EEA, manual actions still hit the violating section. Source: Search Engine Journal, Roger Montti, 2026-08-28.
Host involvement is not a defenceSince 2024-11-19 Google's wording says using third-party content to exploit a site's ranking signals breaks the policy even with the host's involvement. Enforcement was still described as manual actions in May 2026. Source: Capconvert, 2026-05-15.
What this worker never doesNo sponsored or paid publisher placements as a ranking tactic. No bulk generation: one post per search per run, and you write the experience. No PBNs, no bought links, no link schemes. No auto-posting, no account creation, no vote or engagement tricks: you post it yourself.

Who gets citedThe sources each AI engine listed when asked the search through DataForSEO, and the AI Overview's sources.

The fit scoreOur rule over the results above (position, citations, format fit), used only to order the platforms on the page.
The briefRead from the ranking posts themselves: their length, headings, the questions they answer and the names they share. A post that could not be read says so.
